"I would appeal to God; I would lay my cause before Him. He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed . . . He thwarts the plans of the crafty, so that their hands achieve no success. He saves the needy . . . from the clutches of the powerful. So that the poor have hope, and injustice shuts her mouth." - Job 5:8-16

This painting was inspired by the recent awareness of oppression and inequality in some of our Latino and black communities; a presence many of us experienced and were well aware of.

Through scripture, we are reminded to pray and lay our cause to God as well as focusing on love and progressive action towards change. This is the first painting created as part of me new series, The Fig Tree.

16x 20 inches, Original painting
